Gold: Wild Blue

For those of us who live in Vancouver, a trip to Whistler achieves the feeling of being a world away—but on a single tank of gas. Once you’re there, pristine slopes, a European-like village and world-class cuisine awaits, and to find that, locals and tourists alike flock to three-time gold winner Wild Blue. The elegantly designed room is “like sitting courtside at a championship game but for dining,” wrote one judge, who noted that the play is to order the perfectly cooked sablefish and house-made linguine to create a “forever memory with someone special.”

Silver: Il Caminetto

Silver champ Il Caminetto continues to fit into Whistler’s regal feel, with first-class service and a lobster saffron linguine that’s to dine for.

Bronze: Red Door Bistro

Red Door Bistro in the town’s Creekside area (known as “old Whistler” to some) sidles into our bronze spot for its upscale and intimate French vibe, where the country game terrine (a prosciutto-wrapped wild boar, venison, green peppercorn and herbed terrine with grainy mustard) pairs perfectly with their antique negroni.
