It’s a new champion in the top spot on the podium for 2026: our perennial silver winner, Song (by Kin Kao), nabs gold for its complex flavours delivered in a room that feels like it’s made for casual hangouts and celebrations alike. “The green curry beef shank is one of the deepest and most satisfying curries I’ve had at a Thai restaurant,” raved one judge. “Unforgettable.” And don’t even think about skipping the pomelo salad—it’s on our “25 Things to Eat in 2025” list for good reason: “Totally addictive, super fresh, crunchy and refreshing,” said the same judge.

Tie for Silver: Maenam and Silom

In a rare tie, both Maenam and Silom take home silver this year. Longtime favourite Maenam, exceptionally led by our 2025 Chef of the Year, Angus An, practically invented thoughtful, regional Thai cuisine in the city and creates a chef’s tasting menu that’s one delight after another. It’s a feast, from the smallest of bites—a miang cupcake of Hokkaido scallop, crushed peanut, toasted coconut, young ginger, bird’s eye chili and miang sauce—to the powerhouse dishes that celebrate regional flavours married with local ingredients (the white gati curry, for example, is a southern-style rich white coconut curry with smoked local sablefish, black tiger prawn, betel leaf and Thai eggplant). Silom, meanwhile, is a white and bright little casual spot on Knight that does a brisk business in just a handful of seats and earns its flowers for “the combination of exquisitely clean and delicious food and enthusiastic service that was so passionate about uncommon Thai flavours,” said one judge. The tom kha soup is an incredible dish of coconut, lime, chicken and mushrooms that’s both a flavour sensation and a hug on a cool night.
