HATS OFF DAY 2026

Step right up! Burnaby’s biggest street festival is coming soon to Hastings St, as Hats Off Day returns on Saturday, June 6, 2026, with this year’s theme: UNDER THE BIG TOP. Hastings Street will come alive with music, flavour, and fun for all ages as the community celebrates one of Burnaby’s most loved traditions. 

What’s Happening:

🏃 9:30 am – Family Fun Dash – A pulse-pounding family run kicks off the day.

🥁 10 am – Hats Off Day Parade – Secure your curbside spot and watch the annual mainstreet-style parade roll along Hastings St from Beta Ave to Boundary Rd.

🎉 11 am to 4 pm – Street Party – From Gamma Ave to Boundary Rd, Hastings Street transforms into a vibrant festival with free entertainment, live music, activities, culinary delights, and more!

🚗  11 am to 4 pm – Show & Shine Car Show – Admire classic and custom vehicles on display along Hastings St from Gamma to Willingdon Avenues.

This one-day-only event is a Burnaby tradition that draws thousands of visitors each year. So, bring out that clown nose, warm up those trapeze skills, and get ready to join the circus!

NOTE: Parking will be very limited, so consider taking public transit or walking to the festival area. Bike parking will be available at Ingleton, as well as various bike racks up and down the street. If you must drive, park a few blocks away from Hastings St. Accessible drop-off and pickup for those with disabilities is available on the north side of Pender at Alpha Ave and at Madison Ave.
