Amidst the parades, we’ve found a variety of events and activities happening around the city to celebrate Pride, no matter your speed—from running a 10k to leisurely appreciating flower displays.
Strut your stuff or become a strut observer at the ever-iconic Posh Ball. Back and bigger than ever, this event celebrates the legacy of ballroom culture as an outlet for QTBIPOC expression and community building through extravagance and creativity. Fleur de Villes is making these sunny days a whole lot brighter with Pride-inspired installations, including a giant heart at Bentall Centre, a rainbow-hued floral sculpture at Park Place, and disco balls and flowers on the trees at Jim Deva Plaza. Not to mention the giant PRIDE letters in Davie Village made of flowers. Talk about Pride in full bloom!

Think you know Vancouver? Think again. Offered twice a week from now through September, The Really Gay History Tour gives a side of Vancouver you certainly don’t see on a hop-on-hop-off tour. Led by queer storyteller and historian Glenn Tkach, guests can learn all about Vancouver’s transgender crime fighters, two spirit warriors, queer church ministers, and more.

It’s the same Science World we know and love, but instead of exhibits on the human body and replicas of natural habitats, we’re getting performances from drag queens and queer comedians, and talks from 2SLGBTQIA STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) professionals. Open to adults 19+, enjoy the fun with a cold beer, cider, or glass of wine.

The Vancouver Frontrunners Pride Run and Walk welcomes runners and walkers of all levels and abilities to celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and allies. This year, the 10k running course around Stanley Park and the 5k walking path towards Coal Harbour will be combined so everyone finishes together at Ceperley Park. So even if you walk, dance, crawl, run, or roll to the finish line, you can enjoy the post-race spirit and satisfaction.

On July 30, ditch your daily run or gym session and hit the Art Gallery instead to get your heart rate up with drag queens Kendall Gender, Bibi SouPhresh, Tiffany Ann Co. and Hazel. The event will feature three 20-minute beginner-friendly fitness sessions which include cardio, step fitness, and strength training. All proceeds will go to QMUNITY—a non-profit organization based in Vancouver that provides a safe space and community for 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their allies, so you can sweat good while doing good.
