Updated: Everything We Know About Time Out Market Vancouver So Far

Even more restaurateurs and chef-led concepts have been announced for the upcoming mega-market.

The news that Time Out Market would be coming to Vancouver first broke in 2022—and we’ve been hungrily waiting for updates ever since.

Time Out magazine’s high-end food courts are foodie destinations in major cities all over the world (Lisbon, Osaka, London, et cetera), so we’ve spent the last three years speculating wildly about which local culinary stars would wind up running stalls at the highly anticipated Oakridge outpost.

While we have to continue to wait for the doors to open in spring 2026, news of the culinary lineup is finally out there in the world. Today, Time Out Market Vancouver announced the first six restaurants and chefs who will be joining the roster next year.

Eighteen kitchens, one dessert counter and one coffee counter are planned in total, along with three bars, event spaces and 1,000 or so seats. This will be the second Time Out Market in Canada; the first is in Montreal.

As expected, it’s an extremely talented crew who will be setting up shop in the 50,000-square-foot Vancouver market. Here’s who has been confirmed, as of January 2026:

Every Restaurant and Chef That Have Been Announced for Time Out Market Vancouver So Far

Peacock (Chef Vikram Vij)

Restaurant Awards Hall of Famer and pioneering stalwart of upscale Indian dining, chef Vikram Vij will be bringing a new concept to the Time Out Market Vancouver: Peacock. The spot will serve new takes on Vij’s classics, such as Vij’s samosa chaat salad with beets and candied walnuts, Jennifer’s salt fish curry and Vij’s family chicken korma with pickled chillies.

Via Tevere (Dom and Frank Morra)

Another Restaurant Awards alum, 2024’s winner for Readers’ Choice: Best Pizza, Via Tevere, will be sharing its traditional Neapolitan pizzas and paninos at the market. Founders and brothers Dom and Frank Morra are also behind Vancouver restaurants Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizza, Dante Italian Sandwich, Don’t Argue Pizza, Cafe Soccavo and il Saltimbocca food truck.

Kishimoto (Chef Akira Kishimoto)

The winner of Restaurant Awards’ Best Casual Japanese spot in 2024, Kishimoto, will also be featured at Time Out Market Vancouver. It’s “where you go when you want stunning Japanese dishes [embracing] local ingredients through an uncompromising Japanese lens,” and its spot at the Time Out Market will be more of the same, serving dishes like wagyu broth udon, okonomiyaki and oshizushi, with a few vegetarian and vegan menu items, too.

Santo Taco

While the streets of Vancouver couldn’t be more different from the streets of Mexico, Vancouverites really love their Mexican street food, and Santo Taco is evidence of that. At the Time Out Market, street food lovers can expect dishes like slow-braised beef birria, NY striploin asada, citrus-marinated pork belly and classic pork al pastor.

Heritage

Heritage Asian Eatery currently runs three spots in Vancouver, but the demand for their Asian comfort food doesn’t stop there. At Time Out Market, you’ll be able to grab Heritage’s revered dishes, takeout-style, such as premium char siu ork, signature roast duck, succulent soy chicken and charcoal-roasted lamb skewers.

Mello Donuts

Right now, you can only get these baked-fresh-from-scratch everyday, pillowy donuts in Chinatown, but that’ll change when Mello joins the Time Out Market to serve up its signature brioche donuts, filled with matcha, strawberry shortcake, lemon and more.

Boba Run

Korean-inspired bubble tea chain Boba Run will make a splash at the 1,000-seat market, serving up its signature boba drinks like strawberry matcha latte, Korean banana milk and even breaking in bits of dalgona (popularized by hit Netflix series Squid Game).

Feenie’s at Time Out Market Vancouver (Chef Rob Feenie)

Le Crocodile exec chef (and four-time winner of Iron Chef Canada) Rob Feenie will be serving up gourmet burgers, including a signature Time Out Market Burger featuring house-ground wagyu and gruyere.

Mee Bar (Chef Chanthy Yen)

As if the winner of Top Chef Canada 2024 wasn’t busy enough prepping for his upcoming restaurant opening (Touk), Chef Chanthy Yen is now also committed to bringing a Cambodian concept to Time Out Market Vancouver: think charcoal grilled meats, Cambodian chicken wings, curries and rice noodle bowls.

MaKaam (Chef Nutcha Phanthoupheng)

The chef-owner behind Richmond’s Baan Lao is having quite the year: her high-end Thai restaurant was recognized for the second year as Canada’s Best Restaurant by the World Culinary Awards. She’ll be adapting to the more casual setting with a laid-back menu for MaKaam, but expect an extreme attention to detail all the same.

DownLow Chicken

Lunch Lady

The beloved Commercial Drive Vietnamese spot Lunch Lady will join the cast at Time Out Market, too, bringing its most popular menu items to a new Oakridge audience. As with the East Van spot, this location will be inspired by the late Vietnamese culinary legend Chef Nguyen Thi Thanh, with the support of co-owners Michael Tran, Victoria Tran and Benedict Lim.

Barnacle by Bar Bravo

Fraserhood darling (and Best Seafood winner in our 2025 Restaurant Awards) Bar Bravo will be introducing a new casual concept at Time Out Market Vancouver, featuring seasonal, fresh seafood with bold, punchy flavours (and oysters! so many oysters!) from Chef Jonah Joffe.

In the coming months, expect more announcements from the Oakridge team about additional restaurants being added to what will most certainly be a dining destination—we’ll update here as we learn more!
