1. Roman Holiday

From the team behind Casereccio comes a new concept that harkens back to old Italia: Onda. The new Olympic Village pizzeria serves up pinsa romana: a lighter, rectangular cousin of the pies we’re used to, including familiar flavours such as the margherita, ortolana and prosciutto e arugula. East meets West at inventive Commercial Drive Japanese snack bar Nomo Nomo. Laidback Korean spot Jeju has been a favourite in Tofino for a few years, but in November, the beloved restaurant decided to splash out in Vancouver.
