New Mount Pleasant Eatery Murmur Opens for Full-Service on July 28

Food, paintings and “a stupid blue door": Murmur serves slow, set menu meals on East Broadway.

There have been murmurings about a new spot on east Broadway—serving up breakfast, lunch and soon, prix fixe dinners.

Murmur has been quietly serving up regular breakfast and lunch service in Mount Pleasant, with rotating sandwiches (like the Welsh rarebit and the Niçoise), and it’ll go full-service on July 28.

For now, they’re also offering up Sunday prix fixe dinner menus with limited seating.

“We’ll be bringing you introductions of our people, sharing stories about our work, getting the space ready, and telling you a bit about our food/paintings/stupid blue door,” the spot’s instagram page writes.

The first of their dinners on July 20 will be a three-course chicken Sunday roast, for $60 per person—taxes and gratuity all in. Seating starts at 6 p.m. for a select few (that is, those who are organized enough to reserve their table—or the lucky few who take a chance and snag a spot by walking in).

The following week’s Sunday roast will feature bossam and the one after that will be turkey.

Check out the menu and book on their website.
