Hawksworth Restaurant is a Vancouver institution; in this past year alone it won a coveted 2024 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards Editors’ Pick, and was once again highlighted by Michelin Guide.
This July, the award-winning restaurant has put together an exclusive collaborative dinner between chef David Hawksworth himself (and his team) and chef Jonathan Gushue of newly-opened Ontario restaurant, The Gate. The two legendary chefs have designed a seven-course tasting menu that’s meant to highlight local summer ingredients—in our humble opinion, the best way to eat the season.
Dishes include a selection of snacks like wagyu tataki with serrano chili and an English pea and burrata tartlet, sablefish paired with chanterelle, peach and green garlic broth and a cherry sorbet with Okanagan sparkling wine and lime zest. The full menu is available on the Hawksworth Restaurant website and reservations can be made via Tock.
The dinner is priced at $198 per person, plus an optional $90 wine pairing with a percentage of the proceeds donated to Growing Chefs—but starting today until July 8, you can win two tickets to the exclusive dinner via Instagram.
