The annual EAT!Vancouver Food and Cooking festival is back November 5-10 with an even more impressive lineup of rock star chefs than last year. World-famous guest chefs from across Canada and the United States, including Beast’s Naomi Pomeroy from Portland, Redbird’s Neal Fraser from Los Angeles, and Lavanderia’s Antonio Park from Montreal (to name a few) will be creating mouth-watering dishes for one-of-a-kind menus exclusive to EAT!Vancouver. This year, the festival features five artisanal classes, three signature tasting events, and 11 collaborative dinners where once only menus will be created by guest chefs at some of Vancouver’s hottest local eateries. Indulge your inner foodie, and get your tickets to these events before they sell out. And you can feel good while dining too – proceeds from the festival support Project CHEF, an elementary school educational program focused on healthy food and cooking.
For the festival’s signature event, 24 renowned chefs, including Fable Kitchen’s Trevor Bird, and award-winning pastry chefs Patrice Demers from Montreal and chocolatier Brett Roy from Edmonton’s Sweet Lollapalooza, will be under one roof, crafting canapés that show off their culinary expertise. A delectable mix of savoury and sweet, specially selected wine pairings will complement your every bite, including award-winning wines from Washington State and Oregon. This heavenly food experience is the hottest dining ticket it town.
Back by popular demand, the second EAT! Pastry event highlights desserts from 15 award-winning pastry chefs and chocolatiers. Treat your sweet tooth to samples of some of the finest chocolates and pastries, paired with fresh, seasonal cocktails.
With 11 dinners to choose from, it’s tough to just pick one (or two, or three…). The series pairs Vancouver gems with superstar chefs from outside of Vancouver, like The Acorn with David Leeder (former head-chef of Paris’ Frenchie), and Wildebeest with Portland’s Naomi Pomeroy for an extravagant farm-to-table seasonal feast. These one-of-a-kind collaborations will create dining experiences unparalleled to any other.
