Thousands of women, men, trans and non-binary folks (and a few dogs!) met in Jack Poole Plaza this weekend for the second annual #MarchOnVancouver rally. And peeking out from the crowd of windbreakers and pink toques were homemade signs that proved this mass was resilient and brilliant. Some signs were short and sweet (“STAND UP”) and some were punny (“MY OVARIES ARE OVER IT”); some marchers held signs of cardboard, others painted umbrellas—but all were signs of change.
