If roses, teddy bears and heartfelt messages of undying love make you want to vomit, you’re not alone. While some people relish in romance by showering their lover in endless affection, others prefer to deny any feelings and revel in emotional unavailability. Whatever your preference, we understand that traditional expressions of love on Valentine’s Day are not for everyone (personally, I think candy hearts taste like rotting chalk).Luckily, Bad Axe Throwing is offering us a solution this Valentine’s Day—and you guessed it, there are axes involved. For $20 per person, you can release all your seasonal frustration during an hour-long time slot (between 6 to 10 p.m.) of weapon-wielding fun on February 14. What better way to bond with your lover than throwing a sharp, heavy object into an innocent piece of plywood? What better way to hang with your single friends than imagining nailing cupid right in his dumb face? For all the cool moms out there (I see you, Michelle) the sessions are instructed and supervised by coaches, and participants are given a safety and technique orientation before they can throw.
