What Experience Always Improves Your Mood?

Reaching out to people I love to talk it through with, getting outside to walk the beach or Pacific Spirit Park with a good playlist—Kygo or ’90s/’00s hip hop and R&B. Or Netflix on the couch with some takeout: our go-tos are Thai Ni Yom, Ramen Danbo or Jinya, Tozen Sushi, Via Tevere Pizzeria, Anh and Chi and Pho Goodness.

How Do You Cheer Up a Friend?

I believe in the power of the written word and love to encourage the people I care about whenever I can. I would send a heartfelt note, along with a homemade treat and tulips or a gift card so they can treat themselves to a little date. I also find that a genuine phone call, something we do far less of these days, can mean so much.

How Do You Combat the Grey-Day Blues?

Invest in good rain gear and get outside whenever you can. I bought the most amazing Stutterheim Sandviken long-zip raincoat from West of Woodward; I get compliments every time I wear it and it absolutely keeps me dry. I also love the Asics Gore-Tex (GT-1000 14 GTX) for walking shoes that are waterproof.
