"Buck-a-shuck" may be a thing of the past (RIP), but you can still find decent deals on oysters key happy hour menus around town if you know where to look.

With National Oyster Day behind us, we can’t help but feel a bit nostalgic for the celebration. But hey, we’re not to be relegated to restrictive holiday schedules. Here are eight amazing oyster happy hour spots where you can get great deals on our favourite ocean treat—it may not be buck-a-shuck, but it’s as close as you’re gonna get these days.

Coast is an award-winning seafood restaurant offering a true West Coast dining experience. It’s your spot for fresh fish, succulent shellfish and massive seafood towers. The menu is stacked with plenty of raw selections like sushi, sashimi, and an extensive raw bar. They offer a $39 set menu for lunch and a $69 set menu for dinner, making it a great spot for a fancy but approachable meal.

Special Note: The restaurant also has different lounge areas perfect for group events!

The Deal: Happy hour runs from Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on weekends from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Normally, featured oysters are available for $1.75 each, but for the month of August, they’re shuckin’ ‘em up for just $1.50.

Special Note: For health and safety reasons, the restaurant does not allow any raw oysters or shellfish to go. You’ll have to dine in to enjoy them.

The Deal: Happy hour is daily from 2 to 6 p.m. Featured oysters are $2 each, and premium oysters are $2.75 each.

Special Note: It’s a walk-ins-only kind of place, so plan accordingly to get a seat.

The Deal: Their daily happy hour runs from 11 a.m. all the way until 5 p.m., with oysters on offer for $2 each.

The Deal: Happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. puts the oyster of the day on offer for $2.50 each and two pieces of fried oysters for $11.
