Back in 2014, three childhood friends came together to conquer a common problem: what’s for dinner? Becky Switzer, Dhruv Sood and Husein Rahemtulla saw that busy people (or those who don’t think they can cook) find too many obstacles around preparing healthy meals at home, and they turn to fast food instead. That’s why they started Fresh Prep.Uniquely local to Vancouver, Fresh Prep is a meal prep service that prides itself on providing those in the much of Greater Vancouver — even folks up in Squamish — with easy-to-follow recipes designed by chefs and nutritionists, and high quality, locally sourced ingredients. Delivering everything needed to prepare wholesome meals to your home or office, Fresh Prep takes the guesswork out of meal planning and eliminates trips to the grocery store.Each week, you decide which of the available recipes you’d like to try, and how many servings you’d like of each (you might want extra to take for lunch!) and Fresh Prep drops off your cooler bag with everything you’ll need to cook dinner — minus the pots and pans. Then, once you’ve cooked and eaten everything, simply rinse the packaging (it can be returned for recycling!) and place it back in your reusable bag for your delivery driver to grab next time.Need to skip a week? Just modify your delivery schedule online and no meals will be delivered during that time.
