Don’t put all your eggs in one basket, here’s the city's best Easter offerings.
Easter long weekend is for spending time with family, catching up on the tasks we have put off since January and, of course, finding the best place to dine out on Easter Sunday. Vancouver is no stranger to great weekend spots, but these places are pulling out all the stops for Easter.
As soon as the planter boxes on the windowsills of the Wedgewood are bursting with flowers, we know it’s about time to celebrate Easter at Bacchus. Catch their three-course brunch ($85 per person; $45 for children under 12) while you can, only available from 10:30 am to 2pm on Sunday April 20th. This menu features new dishes by their executive chef Stefan Hartmann, like the roasted carrot coconut soup, eggs benedict with smoked salmon or crispy pork belly to start, whole roasted prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, and (if, after all that, you can manage it) the Wedgewood carrot cake with marzipan and cream cheese.

Choose your own Easter destiny at The Victor’s Easter Sunday brunch buffet ($90 per person and $45 for children under 12). Keep it classic with juice and coffee or try their special Easter “Bunny Mary” cocktail. What is a Sunday brunch without a Mimosa Flight ($30)? You have the Monday off to recover, after all. At the buffet there are options like cheese and charcuterie, Greek yogurt parfaits, and house-baked pastries. They’re also offering breakfast classics like shakshuka and avocado toast or and more lunch-like dishes such as dim sum, sushi or seafood options.

Brunch at Glowbal is no-yolk and this Easter is no different with their Easter Brunch Buffet ($85 per person and $35 for children under 12) only available on April 20th. The buffet will feature an oyster bar, prime beef striploin, made-to-order omelettes, as well as spicy salmon poke, prawn or vegetable tempura. There are cold options like charcuterie or hot options like eggs Benedict, sausages, bacon, and Belgium waffles. Reservations are highly recommended.

When Orthodox Easter and Catholic Easter land on the same day, it’s a party at The Greek. This year, the restaurant’s Easter family-style menu is available from April 18 to 21 in all four of their locations and features a three-course dinner for four people ($160 or $200 with the BC-made house Meritage or Viognier wine). There is no need to fight over the courses as each meal includes a choice of two appetisers and two mains. Choose from country lamb, souvlaki for two (prawn, pork, chicken, beyond souvlaki, or beef tenderloin (+$1/skewer)), lamb youvetsi, or lamb pidakia (+$10). Each main is accompanied by long grain rice, lemon potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and tzatziki and for after there is the choice of two desserts.
If you fancy a day trip to West Van, French inspired Mereon is pulling out all the stops with its Easter beef wellington, available for lunch and dinner on April 19 and 20. The wellington comes with pommes puree, seasonal vegetables, watercress, and a pinot noir jus. The regular menu will also be available, featuring a selection of Croques and classic French Omelette, bon appétit!
At Lavantine, Easter lunch is as indulgent as it is scenic (yes, we’re talking about that year-round rooftop patio!) thanks to Chef Daniel Kenney’s Easter feature menu, available from April 18 to 20. This Mediterranean feast ($265) is made to serve four to six guests and features a main course of whole roasted leg of lamb with pomegranate glaze, accompanied by saffron rice, broccolini, and sweet potato purée. For dessert there is an Egyptian rice pudding topped with toasted almonds, cherry compote, and passionfruit. Note: you must pre-book to enjoy the Easter menu.
The Flying Pig is hitting the Easter classics this year with maple glazed ham special, a side of mac and cheese, fresh vegetables, and a dijon thyme sauce ($29.50), only available on Easter Sunday. If you don’t fancy pork at The Pig, the restaurant’s regular menu is available, including several fish, veggie, and beef options.
