Shop September: The Mill

West Elm meets Wes Anderson at the crossroads of Scandinavian high-design at The Mill (163 East 1st St., North Vancouver, 604-770-1338, Themill.ca) where a rustic and modern-minimalist, vintage and industrial mash-up rules. Owner Janine Wilson brings in mid-century furniture scouted by her Seattle-based sister, while mom and pop deliver metal and textile delights. As a family with keen design instincts, they have curated a smart collection of vintage lighting, teak bar carts, hand-made children’s tents and sophisticated interior design services to pull it all together.
