Born out of the Granville Island Hat Shop, North Vancouver’s Rachelle Chashato saw the need for custom chapeaus and repairs, the Hastings Hattery (157 W. Hastings St., 604-683-4270, Hastingshattery.com) specializes in creating bespoke hats as unique as you. They also carry some of the best-known brands in hats, as well as lesser-known local wonders.

Why we love it: Classic tweed caps from Jonathan Richards, and Italian felt hats from Borsalino.
