Restaurant Awards 2026: Editors’ Choice, The Best Patios in Vancouver

Reflections and Tap and Barrel Bridges each offer a great spot to enjoy the great outdoors, with thoroughly distinct vibes.

For the 2026 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards, we continued our new tradition of Editors’ Choices: picks from our editorial team which highlight the rooms in the city that serve a specific purpose, in addition to having great food and service.

Editors’ Choice: Best Patios

Reflections the Garden Terrace, 801 W Georgia St., 4th floor, rosewoodhotels.com
Tap and Barrel Bridges, 1696 Duranleau St., tapandbarrel.com

Vancouver patio season is our civic religion: we’ll sit through sideways rain for a sliver of sun, then toast our “excellent life decisions” like we didn’t just dry our jeans under a Dyson moments earlier. That’s the power of a great patio.

Reflections the Garden Terrace is the downtown fantasy version of that devotion: a leafy inner-courtyard escape tucked on Hotel Georgia’s fourth floor, hovering just above the city hustle.

Tap and Barrel Bridges is the opposite in the best way: two storeys of peak Granville Island waterfront people-watching and big False Creek views that make a weeknight catch-up feel like a mini vacation. Bonus: strong boat-owner cosplay potential, especially if you’re willing to call a water taxi “nautical.”
