We’re not going to pretend putting on the Restaurant Awards is easy. It takes a lot of hard work (and many, many meals) to whittle down our annual shortlist of the best restaurants in the city to find the gold, silver, bronze and honourable mentions that are most worthy of your attention (and tastebuds) right now. Our food editor, Dani Wright, wrangles our crack team of Restaurant Award judges for months on end; staring at the Readers’ Choice nomination spreadsheets has made us all cross-eyed. But soon, all our hard work will pay off, with the launch of our Restaurant Awards issue in May, and, along with it, the biggest culinary awards bash in the city.

But we don’t want to celebrate alone. Which is why you’re invited to join us for what’s always our favourite event of the year. Grab your ticket to come mix and mingle with the most impressive culinary talent this city has to offer (snacking and sipping all the while, of course), and be among the first to know just who the champions are for our 2025 list. Judged categories like Best Japanese, Best Italian, Best New Restaurant and Chef of the Year will be announced live on stage at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on May 5, 2025, along with the winners of our highly coveted Readers’ Choice awards (speaking of which… have you placed you votes yet?!) and the reveal of this year’s Hall of Fame inductees.
