Join us on Sunday July 7, 2024 at Robson Square to celebrate the centennial of visionary Canadian architect, Arthur Erickson.
Enjoy free family-friendly performances and activities reflecting the multicultural influences on Erickson’s work from his extensive travels around the world.  The Erickson-designed Robson Square, with its cascading pools and gardens, is a world-renowned urban oasis at the heart of Vancouver.  The program includes:
1. Welcome by Indigenous elder, artist and ethnobotanist Cease Wyss
2. Van-Okinawa Taiko drummers
3. Opera singer Laura Widgett
4. Juno-nominated Latin band Mazacote
5. Mexican Dance Ensemble
6. Lorita Leung Dance Company presented with the Dance Centre
7. Petit Architect hands-on children’s activity to build a model of the Museum of Anthropology
8. Display of Erickson houses built by LEGO artist Paul Hetherington
9. An Indigenous master artist at work: Haida carver Clarence Mills, an associate of the great Bill Reid will carve on-site.
