Mushyara at the park | Sitar Recital

Step into a world where words dance and melodies sing at our ‘Mushayra at the Park’ event, presented by Lost In Immigration Society. This exciting cultural event offers an enchanting evening of rhythmic poetry and soul-stirring music under a clear July evening sky.

Our featured artist for the evening is Prashant Shashikumar, an admired Indo-Canadian sitarist hailing from Vancouver, BC. He is a devoted student of sitar maestro Sharanjeet Singh Mand and a proud representative of the Imdadkhani gharana musical tradition. With a deep passion for sharing the unique intricacies of Indian classical music, Prashant regularly enchants audiences with his public performances throughout BC’s lower mainland.
