3. Look on the Bright Side of Life and Share Some Laughs with Comedy Legend Eric Idle Live at the Vogue Theatre

They say never meet your idols… but this Idle is a comedy must! Monty Python legend Eric Idle is bringing his one-man show Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Live! to the Vogue this Saturday—the only Canadian stop on his West Coast tour (lucky us). 4. Rummage Through Local and One-of-a-Kind Handcrafted Items at this Cool Craft Fair in Mount Pleasant

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Main Street, shop for one-of-a-kind crafty items (ceramics, paper goods, art, jewelry, homewares) featuring over 40 local brands and in true sample sale fashion, enjoy reduced pricing and one-off samples (read: you’re the only one who will have it!)

5. Check Out Sketch Duo Brunch Comedy as Part of the Vancouver Fringe Festival (September 5-15)

Full disclosure: that’s me on the left. And sure, I’m biased, but if you love surrealist, quirky sketch comedy and the magic of Granville Island, can you blame me?
