Spice things up at Passions 2023, Vancouver’s culinary gala for a cause, featuring the city’s top chefs and mixologists at Granville Island’s Performance Works. It promises to be a night of gourmet delights, cocktail excellence and do-goodery as proceeds go to fund the Dr. Peter Centre’s vital programs, ensuring that people with HIV, complex health and social needs are supported.

Who says Christmas can’t come early? Certainly not the folks at Dalina in Chinatown, who are turning every Wednesday to Saturday into a festive fête with A Christmas Cocktail Story. Picture this: retro holiday decorations that scream ’gram-worthy, mouth-watering fondue and holiday treats by Chef Karl Gregg of Rosie’s BBQ, and, of course, bespoke craft cocktails with a seasonal twist by the iconic Vancouver mixologist Scotty Marshall. Whether it’s for the ’gram or the glam, this pop-up promises a dash of nostalgia and a whole lot of holiday cheer. Just remember: Santa’s watching, so maybe stick to one cocktail… or not, we’re not judging!

Bundle up and feast your eyes (and stomachs) on the Vancouver Night Market Winter Edition—where food trucks meet vintage finds and modern art gifts, all wrapped up with a traditional Lion Dance and a free holiday photo booth.

Prepare for a night of Spanish flair as Como Taperia celebrates its fifth year with cava on tap and tapas on tables. Swing by for a fiesta of flavours, fun and a potential surprise after 10 p.m. Warning: may cause spontaneous flamenco dancing!

Nothing brings a family together quite like cookie-based architecture! From 3 to 4:30 p.m., come to Honey Salt and build your own gingerbread house. They’ll supply the kits ($29 each) and you supply the delicious design. It’s $36 for adults and $21 for kids aged 3 to 12 (preteens aren’t into edible housing, anyway!) and each ticket includes a choice from their special curated Gingerbread Lunch Menus for both adults and kids, which includes a complimentary festive drink (spiked for the adults for surviving the group activity without swearing.)
