Feast your eyes on the list of restaurants in the running for Vancouver Magazine's 2022 Restaurant Awards.
Get your reservations in now: here comes our annual list of the very best restaurants in Vancouver, each of which is a contender for one or more Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards.
Each year, our esteemed judges look back on a year of epic eating, and then enter an epic debate before ultimately sending their secret ballots to the accountants to tabulate. (Yep: we editors take the Resto Awards more seriously than our own taxes.) And now, the results are in… and we’re thrilled to share our 33rd annual list of nominations with you in advance of the final awards this September.
From Thai food to West Coast cuisine, below, you’ll find the spots that our judges deemed the very best in the city — holes in the wall and white-tablecloth joint were considered with equal care. And among all the categories and all the nominees, one resto will ultimately reign supreme as the the one and only Restaurant of the Year.
We’ll reveal the grand winners in our September issue and at a grand awards party this fall, but whether they take home the gold or an honourable mention, we’re sending a heartfelt congratulations to all our nominees. Thanks for making this city a delicious place to live.
(Ed note: A couple of categories you won’t see here: Restaurant of the Year and Chef of the Year—only revealed on the big day.)
