Step back in time to 1986, and explore 40 years of stories and heritage at the Garden.

Set within the tranquil beauty of this authentic Ming Dynasty Suzhou classical garden, this three-day celebration invites visitors to rediscover 40 years of history, culture, and community.

On Friday, April 24, the Garden’s official anniversary, admission will be offered at original 1986 pricing ($3 adult, $1.50 senior/child, $5 family), with extended hours until 8:00 PM. The first 40 visitors will receive a surprise gift.

The day features a rich lineup of experiences, including guided garden tours, live traditional Chinese music performances, Suzhou embroidery and Song brocade demonstrations and workshops, Qing Tuan (traditional spring pastries) making and tasting, hands-on cultural activities, historical exhibitions, and raffle draws. A lion dance performance and Happy Hour will offer a unique opportunity to experience the Garden.

Weekend programming on April 25 and 26 continues with a diverse range of cultural experiences, including garden tours, live music, cultural talks, as well as Suzhou embroidery and Song brocade demonstrations and workshops. Highlights include Weiqi experience on Saturday, and a Mahjong cultural experience on Sunday, creating an engaging and accessible environment for visitors of all ages to connect with traditional Chinese culture.
