EXHIBITION | Public Art: From Maquette to Territory by Marie Khouri

Alliance Française Vancouver presents an exhibition on the public art of Franco-Canadian sculptor Marie Khouri, whose work includes over thirty permanent installations across British Columbia.

The exhibition features original scale models of her monumental projects, offering a rare glimpse into the creative process behind public art—from initial sketches to final installation. An interactive digital screen traces each artwork’s journey and its engagement with communities.

Rooted in Vancouver, Paris, and the Mediterranean, Khouri’s work explores territory, identity, and connection, inviting viewers to see public art as a living presence shaped by those who encounter it.
