The thing about Valentine’s Day is that it happens every year. If you have a new lover, you’re not worried at all about impressing them, because you know you can just reuse any of the heartfelt Vancouver-themed Valentine’s cards we made for you last year, or the year before that. But if you have managed to convince someone to stick around for one or more Valentine’s, you know that the pressure is on to deliver something fresh every time the holiday rolls around: something meaningful; something emotional; something innovative; and most importantly, something that will encourage them to put their mouth on your mouth.
