Fanny Bay Oyster Bar and Shellfish Market

What’s more romantic than an indulgent aphrodisiac, especially a Valentine’s Day deal of a dozen oysters and a tin of caviar for $80, to take home? Alouette Bistro

Alouette Bistro’s Valentine’s menu this year is a must. Couples can try their hand at a special Surf and Turf Cheese Fondue: raclette cheese with filet mignon, prosciutto, prawns, scallops, pickled and fresh vegetables, creamer potatoes and sourdough. So, the works! The feature is available for $190 for two guests over the Valentine’s weekend, along with various special beverages.

Riley’s

This Valentine’s Day only, Riley’s has put together a prix-fixe menu of $110 per person, with wine pairings for $30.

Guests will begin with Riley’s House Brioche with garlic confit oil, gruyère, lobster oil, and whipped butter, followed by a choice of exquisite first courses including ahi tuna carpaccio, steak tartare or crispy burrata salad, each paired with select Okanagan wines.

For the entrée, diners can select from steak rossini (with an optional butter-poached lobster tail), Coast to Coast cioppino, or porcini mushroom risotto, perfectly complemented by curated wine pairings. The meal concludes with decadent desserts, including bananas foster or raspberry chocolate cheesecake, each served with a sweet wine pairing to finish the evening.

St. Lawrence

A Valentine’s Day Weekend Date Idea: Cabane à Sucre at St. Lawrence

Valentine’s with an über-Canadian twist? St. Lawrence has gone all out with a Cabane à Sucre, making it a celebration of Québec and Canadian tradition, marking the beginning of Spring in La Belle Province

Menu highlights may include: maple-smoked and cured steelhead trout with dill cream, duck confit ravioli with maple duck jus, herb crêpes with mushroom ragout and Miranda cheese, maple-marinated sablefish with smoked butter, grilled venison loin with tourtière and maple-forward desserts like maple tart with chantilly and spruce or a maple profiterole with pecans, apples and Labrador tea.

The Teahouse

The Teahouse at Stanley Park has a set Valentine’s Day menu, $98 per person, available from 4 p.m. throughout the evening, alongside a reduced à la carte menu. The menu includes dungeness crab arancini with lemon aioli, followed by a selection of refined appetizers such as beef tartare, lobster bisque, Teahouse stuffed mushrooms or zucchini carpaccio. For the main course, guests may choose from standout entrées including surf and turf with New York striploin and garlic butter lobster tail, salmon wellington, five spice pan-seared duck breast or heart-shaped ravioli with rosé cream sauce. The experience concludes with indulgent desserts like white chocolate blueberry cheesecake or the chocolate raspberry heart duo.

The Sandbar

The Sandbar marks Valentine’s Day with a lineup of special features served alongside its regular menu, letting guests tailor the night to their taste.

Valentine’s features begin with indulgent appetizers such as lobster bisque with crème fraîche, burrata salad with gem tomatoes and pistachio praline and Hoshi’s special, featuring a dynamite roll with tempura prawn, plus salmon and tuna nigiri.

For mains, guests can choose from standout entrées including a classic bouillabaisse with lingcod, mussels, clams, prawns and rock crab, the indulgent surf and turf with grilled tenderloin and roasted lobster tail or wild mushroom ravioli with garlic cream sauce and truffle oil. The evening finishes on a sweet note with a chocolate lava cake served with vanilla gelato and raspberry coulis.

Lavantine

Lavantine turns up the romance with a $165 three-course prix fixe, spotlighting its signature Middle Eastern–inspired flavours and polished technique. Guests begin with a choice of first courses such as cauliflower panna cotta with osetra caviar, creamy lobster broth or spiced lamb hummus. The second course offers a selection of beautifully prepared mains, including roasted chicken with moghrabieh, roasted king salmon with tahina remoulade, lamb manti or roasted cauliflower with warming spices.

The evening concludes with a decadent dessert choice, including chocolate biscuit cake, palace bread pudding with rose and cherry or chocolate baklava served with vanilla gelato.

Fable Diner

At Fable Diner’s Broadway location, Valentine’s Day is in full swing! Offering a special three-course set menu on February 14th from 2:30 to 10:00pm, guests can enjoy a choice of starter, main and dessert, perfect for a relaxed and comforting Valentine’s meal.

Starters include options such as bacon-wrapped scallops with cajun cream and basil oil or a peach and beet Salad with goat cheese, maple balsamic dressing and sunflower seeds. For the main course, diners can choose from NY striploin with roasted herb and garlic potatoes, roast duck risotto with creamy mushrooms and rosemary or chicken parmesan pasta with vodka sauce and rigatoni. Dessert options include a nostalgic chocolate strawberry milkshake, chocolate-covered strawberries, or a light pavlova with fresh berries, cream and mint.

Priced at $65 per couple, additional $25 to add a bottle of red or white wine.

B House

B House is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special menu for two priced at $99, featuring a thoughtfully curated three-course experience and some very special Valentine’s Day cocktails. Starting off with hand in hand a combination of ground pork spring roll, fresh salad roll, mixed greens, peanut butter sauce, buttermilk crispy shrimp, watermelon radish and lotus root. The main course is a surf and turf platter, including AAA top sirloin, sautéed shrimp in lobster garlic butter sauce, blackened wild sockeye salmon with pineapple salsa, duck-fat roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables and peppercorn sauce. For dessert, couples can indulge in the Sweet Duo, featuring a homemade molten chocolate brownie alongside mascarpone raisin bread pudding with hazelnut chocolate sauce, dolce de leche and fresh berries.
