February’s Best Food Events in Vancouver—Where to Dine This Month

From cooking classes to wine pairings, here’s what you can look forward to warm up your winter season in February 2026.

As Vancouver settles into the winter blues, these places are offering the community dining experiences to brighten up the upcoming gloom and cold. This calendar ranges from hearty dinners, breweries, to finely-crafted dessert experiences. As Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year and Family Day Weekend approaches, these are places to bring your loved ones for a heartwarming meal. 

An Apéro in Mon Paris at Mon Paris Patisserie

Chef and owner Elena Krasnova is teaming up with sommelier Evgeniia Doronina to host two exclusive wine and cocktail pairing events. Tickets are $160 dollars per person inclusive of taxes and gratuity. The event begins at 7:00 pm with a welcome passion fruit royale cocktail and a Canelé au Foie Gras and Apricot Confit. The 8-course event celebrates French cuisine in its finest elegance. Krasnova is an award-winning chef who opened her second Mon Paris location at Olympic Village last year.

New York’s Employees Only at Botanist

Botanist Bar in the Forbes Five-Star Fairmont Pacific Rim will welcome New York City’s iconic Art Deco cocktail bar, Employees Only (EO), for an exclusive, one-night-only cocktail collaboration. Together, the teams will work side by side behind the bar, offering a rare opportunity to experience two award-winning cocktail programs in one setting.

The Chowdercup

As part of Dine Out Vancouver, eight talented chefs go head-to-head in an all-out sustainable seafood chowder brawl, competing for ultimate bragging rights and the coveted Chowder Cup trophy. Each chef will craft a signature chowder featuring responsibly sourced BC seafood ingredient, thoughtfully paired with a complementary beverage.

Chicken Butchery and Chicken Vesuvio Cooking Class at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts 

Chef Phyllis will be instructing participants on how to break down a whole chicken, using techniques with efficiency and producing minimal waste. Guests will prepare a classic dish of Chicken Vesuvio, crispy golden chicken braised with garlic, white wine, herbs and potatoes. Tickets are available for $175 plus tax. The class takes place from 10:00am to 1:30pm.

Pinot Noir: Roots, Regions and Revelations at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts 

This class invites participants to experience six wines and canapé pairings to explore how Pinot Noir transforms across the globe. The class runs for two hours, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, tickets are available for $98 per person plus tax.

It Hasta Be Pasta: An Exploration of Filled Pastas at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts 

Chef Shane leads participants in making two classic stuffed pastas: ravioli with lemon, ricotta, and spinach, bathed in brown butter and crisp sage, and tortelloni filled with wild mushrooms and mascarpone, finished in a porcini cream sauce. Participants work in pairs and can enjoy an Italian Aperol Spritz aperitivo. A PICAchef branded apron free to take home is included in the $139 plus tax ticket.

Oyster Class at Fanny Bay Oyster Bar and Shellfish Market

With fresh oysters from its own shellfish farms on Vancouver Island, Fanny Bay Oyster Bar is Vancouver’s only tide-to-table seafood restaurant. At 6:30pm on February 11th, 14 guests will have the opportunity to experience the ultimate oyster master class. Participants will enjoy premium oysters and learn to shuck the perfect oysters, while tasting other seafood snacks and sipping on curated beverages.

Sommelier Showdown at Five Sails

Five Sails is hosting a sommelier showdown from February to April.

Guests have the opportunity to vote on their favourite pairing in a Sommelier Showdown at Five Sails atop the Pan Pacific Hotel. Culinary Director Alex Kim curates a four-course dinner with two leading sommeliers, who will compete for the perfect wine pairing for each course. Tickets are priced at $225 plus tax and gratuity. The wine-and-dinner events start at 6:00pm on February 4th. Another showdown takes place March 3rd, and the final event is on April 1st, in which the winning sommelier will be crowned.

Detox Brunch Buffet at The Victor

The Victor is offering a Detox Disco Brunch Buffet on February 1st from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Diners can build their own power bowl and enjoy a fresh egg station, as well as carve their own prime rib, roasted chicken, and cedar-plank salmon. Beverages include Mimosa Flights and a craft your own Bloody Mary station. The brunch focuses on nutrition to align with guests’ health goals. Tickets are available for $90.
