The holidays beckons us to indulge—in lively company, festive markets and sumptuous feasts. But feasts don’t prepare themselves: cue anxious glances at the calendar. If you’re like me and still deciding on what to eat, these Vancouver restaurants have you covered. Serving up everything from traditional roast dinners to luxury takeout spreads (so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time with the people who matter) here’s what the city’s brimming culinary scene has to offer this season. 

Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts

Let the chefs from Blue Hat Bakery-Café handle the cooking chaos. PICA’s Holiday Dinner To-Go menu includes a classic turkey spread with all the trimmings: buttermilk garlic mash potatoes, green bean almondine, sticky toffee pudding and more. Pickup times are December 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and December 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

ARC Restaurant

ARC is covering all your holiday bases with several festive feasts—all without the stress of cleaning up. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, settle in for a four-course family-style dinner featuring Rossdown turkey dinner, lobster tagliolini, mont blanc yule log and more. If you’d rather start Christmas Day with a boozy brunch, executive chef Harris Sakalis has you covered with his holiday-inspired spin on the restaurant’s signature bottomless offering. Expect holiday favourites including turkey croque madame, French toast brulee and lobster mac and cheese.

Celebrate the new year with an early-seating three-course menu or a four-course dinner that lasts late into the night. Forest mushroom kebab, truffle potato pave and eve chocolate ball are just some of the highlights of the evening.

Desi Indian Lounge

Desi Indian Lounge is brightening the holidays with a four-course prix fixe menu running from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day. Start with a comfortable bowl of B.C. vegetable and lentil shorba and end with a creamy motichur cheesecake or foxtail millet pudding. Those who’d prefer dining in the comfort of their home can pre-order Desi’s Family Takeout Feast packages online. Choose from a rich selection of curries, rice dishes, starters and desserts, and don’t forget the toasty bread basket with assorted naan.

H Tasting Lounge

This Christmas, H Tasting Lounge is giving you options: dine at home, in the restaurant, or in true snow globe fashion—inside a Winterlust dome. Their signature Festive Turkey Takeout is complete with classic seasonal flavours: think buttermilk Yukon mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts & caramelized shallots and roasted turkey. The Christmas tasting menu (available on December 24 to 25) promises three courses of culinary delights featuring truffled parsnip velouté, smoked duck salad and golden seared sablefish. The five-course Winterlust menu includes lobster & celeriac cannelloni, buttery beef tenderloin, salt-baked heirloom carrots with mulled wine glaze and more.

Rosie’s Hospitality

Slow-smoked turkey, sugar brined for 24 hours and stuffed with onions and oranges? Holiday feasts don’t get heartier than this. Rosie’s Hospitality is celebrating the festive season with their Christmas meals to-go. Choose between smoked Rossdown turkey, 63 Acres Brisket or whole country ham with all the trimmings, locally-sourced and made from scratch.

Torafuku

Torafuku’s Winter Tasting menu features four chef’s selected appetizers, two entrees with start and a choice of dessert, designed for a minimum of two people to share. The meal includes Fanny Bay Sunseeker fried oysters with miso espuma and furikake, steelhead trout and green curry en papillote, oolong tea creme caramel and more.

Hawksworth Restaurant

Hawksworth’s Christmas menu has all the makings of a satisfying holiday meal, featuring flavourful prawn mousse cappelletti, savoury braised short rib and classic bûche de noël. As for New Year’s Eve, guests can choose from three distinct experiences: an all-evening cocktail hour, a multi-course early bird dinner and a seven-course tasting menu to feast on as you count down to 2026.

Chef Gus Steiffenhofer-Brandson’ December Duck Feast returns for its second year at Published on Main, complete with a glistening, whole crown roast duck seasoned with a mandarin-scented spice blend and four accompanying sides. Think peppery duck wings, rich duck broth, a wild mushroom sauté and a refreshing winter salad.

Saba Foods

Saba Foods’ Tomahawk Feast requires no extra entertainment. Torched tableside and carved on a rolling cart, the tomahawk is accompanied by a curated selection of house-made sides: hummus, fava bean dip, baba ghanoush, roasted potatoes, Yemeni bread and seasonal salad. Pre-orders are required at least 90 minutes in advance.

Minami

Minami is leaning into the festive season with a limited-time Holiday Shokai: a six-course tasting menu created by executive chef Alan Ferrer and his team. Menu highlights include delicate hirame crudo, umami aka miso marinated lamb chop and cassis orange mousse by head pastry chef Nikki Tam. Reservations can be made online.

Dance the night away at Black and Blue’s exclusive New Year’s Eve gala. Start off with a beet cured salmon rosette and prime rib croquette and end the meal with a creamy tiramisu mousse bombe or dark chocolate mint opera. Expect live music, Vegas-style dancers, gourmet cuisine and a complementary glass of bubbles —all building up to an unforgettable midnight toast.

Ring in 2026 with chef Jean-Francis Quaglia at Provence Marinaside’s New Year’s Eve dinner. Choose between a three-course prix fixe menu, or go à la carte with luxury add-ons including foie gras terrine, half a dozen fresh oysters and Northern Divine caviar blini. Guests can expect a wide selection of wines and champagnes, not to mention live music from Gary Comeau and his Trio.

Bacchus is packed with holiday meals this season, from classic Christmas feasts to elaborate New Year’s Eve dinners. Crafted by executive chef Stefan Hatmann, multi-course menus feature slow-roasted sage turkey, foie gras terrine, decadent dubai chocolate cake and more.

Fanny Bay Oyster Bar and Market

Fanny Bay’s market will be open on December 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pick-ups and closed on Christmas Day. Fresh lobsters sourced from Nova Scotia are available live or cooked to go from the retail market, or by the pound on the oyster bar’s fresh sheet. Each week, ‘Chix’ size lobsters (1–1.25 lb) are available, with live and cooked lobsters, served with Fanny Bay’s signature everything butter. 

Special holiday collaborations include a bottle of Joie Sparkling Rosé (Plein de Vie) with oyster orders, complete with a recipe card to make a mignonette as well as a baked or grilled oyster kit featuring a dozen medium oysters and a jar of Holy Duck Chili Oil (Original or Extra Ducking Spicy) for $41.14.
