The fifth annual Make Music Vancouver festival is set to be the biggest yet—not least because more than 12,000 people have registered their attendance on Facebook. All of them will be coming to see some of the 51 free concerts—spanning jazz, folk, soul, rock, and much more—taking place across historic Gastown. The festival—which began in Paris way back in 1982 as La Fête de la Musique—has spread internationally, taking place in more than 460 cities across 120 countries last year.Make Music Vancouver runs from 5 to 10 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, June 24) for one night only. Bikes valets (a thing now, apparently) will be on hand at the corner of Cordova and Carrall. Consider this a recommendation as to how you should get there, since the streets will be closed to traffic.
