Vancouver Magazine Wine Awards 2009

The Process

Wines were tasted blind on a like-with-like basis. Our judges were divided into three mini-panels. Flights of wine were organized by style and price. Winners were chosen by consensus among the judges, who collectively decided which wines represented the best values. The mini-panels then united for the final playoff among all the category winners, at which the Pikes Traditionale Clare Valley Riesling 2007 was voted Best in Show.
