In Vancouver, iced coffee is as ubiquitous as yoga pants—but iced tea was here first. What better way to celebrate your love for the original cold brew than Tea Sparrow’s First Annual Iced Tea Festival, this Sunday (July 19)?Attendees will have the chance to sample and purchase 16 top-rated loose-leaf teas (on ice, of course) made by featured blenders from around the world. Tea Sparrow, a monthly tea club and tea-critiquing company, was born from a family’s love of tea. Roughly 700 people attended the club’s first annual “tea-off” in October of last year. You’ll get the chance to learn the club’s scoring system and get your tea-critic on at the festival. Special perk: a 40-percent discount on all memberships.Tickets are two for $10 in advance, or $10 each at the door. Free for children 12 and under.Tea Sparrow First Annual Iced Tea FestivalSunday, July 19, 11am-6pmHeritage Hall (3102 Main St.)http://www.teasparrow.com/festival/
