The Ticket: Edible Canada and Strange Fellows Team Up for an Epic Beermaster’s Dinner

Five beers, five delicious dishes.

Five beers, five delicious dishes.

The VanMag editors are definitely the types to drink beer year-round, but even the most perfect winter stout can’t stand up to a refreshingly cold brew on a hot summer day—and apparently we’re not the only ones that think so. On Wednesday, June 27Edible Canada will be teaming up with Strange Fellows Brewing for a special dinner that pairs fresh, locally inspired dishes with a few of the brewery’s fave beers. We can only assume that the five-course menu will taste as good as it sounds:

  1. Smoked albacore tuna meatballs with green olives and almonds // Poppin Jay dry-hopped sour
  2. Grilled boudin noir (blood sausage) with charred radicchio // Roxanne black raspberry grisette
  3. Onion tart // Bayard Saison
  4. Heritage pork with crackling and mole verde // Guardian White IPA
  5. Walnut cake with burnt orange and buttermilk ice cream // Boris imperial stout

Sounds like a pretty decent way to welcome summer, don’t you think? For more information and to purchase tickets ($82 each), visit ediblecanadaretail.com
