After what seemed an eternity, the Loden Hotel—with its elegant new Voya restaurant—finally opened its doors last month (about a year behind schedule). No matter: with Marc-André Choquette (formerly of Lumière) helming the kitchen, and bar star Jay Jones (West, Nu, Salt, Republic) manning the wood, any bumps along the way have been consigned to oblivion. The lounge menu features generous dishes (all $14) like shaved cured ham with pickled figs, melon, and Manchego; and barbecue beef with tempura oysters, daikon, and carrot salad. It’s all carried nicely by Jones’s classic cocktails (try the French 75).
