Vancouver International Wine Fest 2014 Best Picks

January 8, 2014

There is an embarrassment of riches for consumers to choose from as France storms the Vancouver International Wine Festival with a magnificent onslaught of wine dinners, minglers and seminars. There are terrific Italian, Australian and Spanish events, but the theme region is France and so are my event suggestions:

L'Art de Vivre

Where: Le Parisien, 751 Denman St., $175

L'Instant Taittinger

What: Offers 6 top champagnes matched with bubble-addict Chef Quang Dang's instinctual and nuanced cuisine. You can guarantee that the pairings will be unexpected and spot-on.
