n partnership with Vancouver Craft Beer Week, we’re delighted to announce the inaugural Vancouver International Craft Beer Awards. With the massive (and entirely welcome) explosion of craft brewing in recent years, we felt the time was right to add a judged competition on behalf of the food-and-beer-loving public. This competition identifies beers, for sale year round in this province, that offer exceptional value for their price. We thank the dozen judges — brewers, buyers, cicerones, chefs, and beer devotees — who have volunteered their time and expertise to blind-taste and evaluate entries
Taste competitions are something Vancouver magazine knows well; for 11 years, we have highlighted value-rich wines across 10 categories with our Vancouver Magazine International Wine Awards. For a quarter-century, we have also judged and ranked the city’s food with our annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards.
Winners of the Vancouver International Craft Beer Awards will be announced on May 29 at the opening night of the 2015 Vancouver Craft Beer Week. And to all our entrants, we wish you good luck and a successful and prosperous year!
