Dunbar Haunted House

The city’s top haunted house spooked 17,000 visitors last year while raising thousands for local charities. Recently moved to 8934 Shaughnessy St., the show includes costumed actors and is based, this year, on creepy news stories. (Hear that, Aaron Sorkin?)


Rocky Horror Picture Show

The Ridge Theatre hosts midnight screenings of cult classic with an interactive cast. Audience members dress in character, throw toilet paper, and toss toast.

The Haunted Vancouver Trolley Tour

Hop on for a 2.5-hour nighttime tour of chilling locations in the city, including the autopsy room at the Vancouver Police Museum and a ghostly cemetery.

 
Secret Souls Walk and Dance Party

Stilt walkers, shadow puppeteers, and zombies wander a secret East Van route (revealed the night before). Things are capped at the Parade of Lost Souls Dance Party at the Rickshaw Theatre. Costumes encouraged.

 

Fright Nights at the PNE

Five haunted houses, complete with clowns, murderers, and monsters, are assembled to scare you senseless. The brave can also ride the coaster in the dark.

 

Judge Dee and the Chinese Garden Murders

Try to solve this whodunit while getting spooked on the narrow pathways of the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden. This 30-minute murder mystery and haunted house is based on the historic stories of detective Judge Dee – once known as China’s Sherlock Holmes.
