Let's be honest: it may have been a spell since you last attended an experimental pointillist jazz fusion night at the Western Front. (The centre was founded in 1973 by eight artists interested in new art forms; it's been venturing down that road ever since.) Toque-its annual art sale and fundraiser offering highbrow pieces by an impressive array of city creators-might be your call to reunion. The curated event shows art, ceramics, jewellery, books, and edibles from such gift-worthy names as Erin Templeton, Fleet Objects, Gailan Ngan, Henderson Dry Goods, Hives for Humanity, and Olla Flowers. A limited-edition tea towel by Casey Wei, food and drink, and raffle prizes round out the entrepreneurial salon. Front.bc.ca
