Exclusive Olympic Images, Day 8

Canada finished in second place in the preliminary round of compulsory dance for mixed pairs ice dance on Friday evening. Russians Oksana Dominina and Maxim Shabalin placed first, ahead of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. In third spot were Americans Meryl Davis and Charlie White.

In these photos, taken at the Pacific Coliseum, are Canadians Vanessa Crone and Paul Poirier, as well as some of the youngest skaters in ice dance: Irina Shtork of Estonia (16) and Allison Reed of Georgia (15).
