I JUST GOT DUMPED. WHAT WOULD YOU MAKE ME?

 

 

Heather Yau of CinCin // A RAMOS GIN FIZZ It’s sublime to get drunk on, very lady-like and approachable (sweet, floral, well garnished), and it takes a hell of a long time to make properly. Imagine a bartender flexing his guns for 10 minutes, handcrafting this drink just for you. Wouldn’t you feel special? Especially if he looks like Tom Cruise from Cocktail.

 

Justin Taylor of Yew Restaurant // A CORPSE REVIVER It’s all in the name. Gin, Lillet, Cointreau, lemon juice, and just a splash of absinthe. Three of these will bring you back from the dead, but a fourth will put you back in the grave!

 

Copper Tardivel of Hawksworth // A HEMINGWAY DAIQUIRI Quality Cuban white rum (Havana Blanco Añejo is my fave) and fresh citrus from lime and pink grapefruit, balanced with Maraschino liqueur will undoubtedly bring back happy, warm memories of summer.

 

 

I JUST GOT A BIG PROMOTION. WHAT WOULD YOU MAKE ME?

 

 

 

Heather // What is more celebratory than a SAZERAC? It’s a really kick-ass drink and says, “I’m a big boy/girl drinking a real drink.”

 

 

Justin // Let’s go for the good stuff. A CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL, maybe a little heavy on the cognac.

 

 

Cooper //  It’s a celebration, which means bubbles. One of my favourite classics is a snappy and dry FRENCH 75.
