Long distance sucks, but this week you can have a drink with your favourite booze buddy wherever they may be. Negroni Week is happening at over 12,000 venues around the world (and more than 80 of them are in Vancouver – take that, world travelers). A few highlights for local negroni nuts are the Orchid Negroni at Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar, the Tokyo Bicycle at Juke Fried Chicken, and the Apex at Wildebeest.

Take your daily walk to the next level by treating your dog to a visit to the Polygon Gallery, where the Dog Days exhibit will be showcasing man’s best friend all summer long. The exhibit is dog-friendly, so you can both drool over contemporary works, classic images, and vintage photographs. You might even notice some parallels between the art and the 6000 puppy pictures on your camera roll.

Relive the glory days with live music, master classes, and workshops including “Introduction to Electric Guitar Building and Design” and “Marketing for the Modern Luthier.” Anyway, here’s Wonderwall.

Your Broadway bestie is going to love Army of Sass – this spunky spectacle is show tunes only, including favourites from Chicago, Hamilton, and Cabaret. Watch the AOS dancers tackle the sassiest choreography you’ve ever seen (in heels) and you might just get inspired to switch up your workout routine – sass classes will get you a lot more street cred than the elliptical.
