This Weekend: Go on a ‘brunch crawl’ in Gastown

And eat a day's worth of (delicious) calories by 2 pm

On Wednesday, we published a story about sticking to your New Year’s fitness resolution. Today, we present you with a story on how to most gloriously (and gluttonously) break that resolution. Dine Out Vancouver Festival, which begins Friday, is the biggest food and drink festival in Canada according to event host Tourism Vancouver. For 17 days, the city’s best restaurants will be serving up multi-course meals for promotional prices. You can find the full schedule here. As for this weekend, why not start things off right with a brunch crawl through Gastown? The crawl kicks off Saturday morning at Prado Café (pictured above) and hits up six restaurants in total. As for what’s on the menu, expect eggs benny, pancakes, french toast, and a presumably wonderful slice of “brunch pizza.” If Saturday doesn’t work, however, there’s another brunch crawl through Olympic Village Sunday morning. Carbo-load like the Olympian you are.

When: Saturday, Jan. 16, 10 am – 2 pm  | Where: Meet at Prado Café, 100 W. Hastings St. | Cost: $60 (and a belt size)
