Have Your Coffee and Drink It (Beer and Wine!) Too

Main Street's Starbucks Reserve Bar debuts a new evening menu.

Not even a month has passed since Starbucks opened their new Reserve Bar on Main and 14th (the first shop of its kind in Western Canada), but Vancouver’s coffee nerds already have another reason to celebrate…if they’re also into beer and wine, that is. As of today, the Mount Pleasant café will be offering a new evening menu, the only Starbucks outside of Ontario to do so (because affogato and siphoned coffee really isn’t enough).

Available from 2 p.m. until close Monday to Friday and from 12 p.m. until close on the weekends, the new menu boasts savoury items like artichoke flat bread and truffle mac and cheese, as well as a small selection of wine, beer and cider from Steamworks, Haywire and others. We don’t know yet whether the list can stand up next to other Mount Pleasant offerings—Brassneck, Main Street Brewing and 33 Acres are mere blocks away—but the idea of seamlessly transitioning from an afternoon coffee break to an early evening glass of vino sounds pretty damn good.
