Some of the most compelling, carefully thought out arguments I’ve ever come up with took place in the cereal aisle, pleading with my parents to buy me the fun stuff, just this once.

It never worked. This weekend, I’m making up for lost time.

On October 1 and 2, Crunchtime Cereal Bar, presented by Milk Creative Communications, is opening a two-day only “neon-meets-tropical escape” right in the heart of Gastown, with interiors by Cahoots Creative Happenings. Whether you prefer to pair your Saturday morning cartoons with chocolate, fruit loops or something in between, Crunchtime has you covered—including four kinds of milk and a variety of colourful toppings. As an added bonus to starting your day with an epic sugar rush, all proceeds from the event go straight to Backpack Buddies, a local charity that supplies hungry kids with food during non-school hours. So put on your weekend finest (pajamas allowed) and enjoy everything Crunchtime has to offer. For $5 a bowl, I may try more than one.
