Announcing the Finalists for the 2018 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards
Here's the shortlist of this year's contenders for VanMag's 29th annual list of the best restaurants in the city.
March 19, 2018
In a city as delicious as ours, it’s always near-impossible to narrow down our list of contenders for Vancouver Magazine’s Restaurant Awards. Our judging panel—composed of Vancouver’s top restaurant critics and culinary pros—works year ’round, hashing it out through late-night meetings and endless Slack debates and secret votes to put together a comprehensive list that reflects the city’s food scene.
And now that the dust has settled, we’re ready to celebrate the amazing chefs, rooms and meals that made this such a hard decision: congratulations to our finalists for 2018, listed alphabetically below. The big winners will be revealed April 16 at our annual Restaurant Awards party (and, of course, in the next issue of the magazine), so stay tuned to be among the first to know who takes home the gold. #VanMagAwards

How did Vij’s not make the top 5 in Indian? And nothing for Nightingale, La Quercia, AnnaLena, Farmer’s Apprentice!? Did you remove best Vegan? I liked that category.
Derek Dubiellak
My wife and I attended the awards some years back. Do you still sell tickets to the public?

Hey Vancouver Magazine – what about the Tri Cities?? Port Moody, Porter Coquitlam and Coquitlam have some of the greatest variety around. Maybe your title should be City of Vancouver 🙂 with a sprinkle of others
Vancouver Magazine
In fact we do call ourselves Vancouver magazine.

Curious why best neighborhoods includes Richmond, but none of the other cities outside of Vancouver such as Burnaby, Coquitlam, etc?
