As the cold weather continues to settle in Vancouver (Hello, winter!), we can’t help but dream of escaping to a tropical destination—which is exactly why we’re taking a look back at our Maui pop-up party. Guests joined us at Beach Bay Café where they sampled Hawaiian cocktails and two feature poke dishes from Kā’anapali Beach Hotel’s Chef Tom Muromoto and Beach Bay’s own Chef Michael Winning. And at the end of the night, one lucky winner received an all-inclusive trip for two to Maui. Here’s a peek at our favourite moments:

Guests were anxious for the Hawaiian feast to begin.

Before the poke competition, guests enjoyed canapes from each chef. Here, Muromoto’s braised short ribs served alongside a kona kampachi and pohole fern tartar.
