Mirabel Vineyards makes one of the best, but also the most expensive, Pinot Noirs in the Okanagan. And it’s produced in such small quantities it’s often tricky to find.
So what if we told you that the chef from Nobu (yes, that Nobu) from the Four Seasons in Lanai was heading to Cornucopia, and that the Reimers (owners of Mirabel) will be pairing their wine with the meal. That would be pretty sweet, no?
Well…Chef Marlowe Lawrenko (good handle, chef) of Nobu Lanai is teaming up with Four Seasons Whistler Executive Chef Eren Guryel for a long table dining experience with wines from the first vintage of Kelowna’s ultra-premium Mirabel Vineyards.
I actually ate at Nobu Lanai several months back. It was out-of-this-world-good and really pricey. And a bottle of Mirabel’s new pinot would set you back $70-plus, if you could find it. And it’s awesome. So, am I the only person that thinks $185 for this dinner is underpriced a bit? It’s probably best not to linger on this one.
