Beat the Rain with a Summer-y Pop-Up in Chinatown This Weekend
Recently launched online shop Finding July aims to offer clothing that exudes "the excitement and joy" of summer.

’Tis the season of summing weddings, bridal showers, b-days and other formal-attire-required shindigs, which means costs can add up this time of year for the average woman in search of something apropos to wear. But one local entrepreneur is hoping to provide wallets some relief with Finding July, an online shop of relatively affordable, “summer-y” women’s threads fit for everything from alfresco happy hour to your great aunt’s nuptials.
“We have a mix of styles,” says Zoe Dupuis, a former fashion publicist and founder of the Vancouver-based label. “So there are dresses that are more elegant, which you could wear to a wedding, and rompers that are more playful and flirty that you could wear to the beach.”
Launched in May, Finding July offers polka-dot rompers, flowy jumpsuits, leopard-print mini dresses and other garments that Dupuis curates from wholesalers in Los Angeles. She describes the line as made up of “good quality” clothing that exudes “the excitement and joy” of summer. All prices are under $100, and the brand offers free cross-country shipping and returns on all orders to ensure its products are as accessible to Canadians as possible.
“I want to be able to offer a quality, stylish product at a fair price,” notes Dupuis.
Finding July lives online, but this weekend, Dupuis will be bringing her goods to a pop-up at Brunette the Label’s flagship (231 Union St.) so Vancouverites can shop the line IRL. Dupuis hopes that the three-day event will inspire shoppers to feel “the feeling you get when you know it’s going to be summer”—despite the gloom that may be in the forecast.
