Coquitlam Kinsmen Craft Beer Festival
The Coquitlam Kinsmen Craft Beer Festival is the latest addition to British Columbia’s rapidly growing craft beer circuit. The two-day festival features more than forty beer, cider and wine vendors ranging from iconic international brands to up-and-coming businesses, with an emphasis on breweries based in the Tri-City Area of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.
The festival, which aims to become an annual event, is located at the Coquitlam Town Centre South Field—a stunning site surrounded by the Westwood Plateau Mountains, Golden Ears and Lafarge Lake that will have direct SkyTrain access by 2017.
In addition to a broad array of quality craft beers, the festival will feature Cease and Desist, Said the Whale and two other local headlining acts, plus delicious food courtesy of Brew Street Craft Kitchen, local food trucks, and the Coquitlam Kinsmen. Several transportation options, including Red Nose, Safe Ride, and free TransLink passes, will ensure that all 19+ guests get home safely.
The Kinsmen are a Canadian men’s and women’s club who give back to their communities through charitable endeavours, and are recognized as the largest contributor towards cystic fibrosis research in the country. The Coquitlam Kinsmen branch has made several important contributions to the Tri-City Area including public parks at Coquitlam Centre and Coquitlam Lake, and the G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre. Proceeds from the Coquitlam Kinsmen Craft Beer Festival will benefit the Como Lake Kids Park.
